Book Signing Events
Book signing events are a wonderful way to bring in more business! Once people are in your shop to meet the author and get an autograph, they will be inclined to shop!
If you are interested in hosting a book signing, here is what you need to know.
- Author travel expenses are covered by author within a 50 mile radius of Huntsville, Alabama. Otherwise, you will need to contact the booking agent to cover expenses.
- Author will need a dedicated area and table. It is suggested the author be positioned towards the front or middle of the store. It is also a good idea for the flow of traffic to move from the register to the author signing table. This creates an opportunity for the retailer to place up-sell items in those areas, too!
- Stores will be responsible for point of sale. The books will be on consignment for events only. This means the retailer pays the author wholesale on books or merchandise sold. Author will bring the books and merchandise.
- Personalized flyers will be emailed to the shops 1 month before the event! You can print these, post them, and hand them out!
